Loretta M. Harvey, 1906-2003, Olathe, Kan

Loretta M. Harvey, 97, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Windsor, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Villa St. Francis Care Center in Olathe.

She was born Aug. 14, 1906, in Clinton, a daughter of Henry William Hendricks and Cathryn Bridget Wallpe Hendricks.

On Oct. 15, 1924, in Clinton, she was married to Arthur B. Farris, who died April 1961. On Oct. 24, 1971, in Clinton, she was married to William Paul Harvey, who died Dec. 14, 1988.

Mrs. Harvey was a homemaker. She also worked as a telephone operator and supervisor in Clinton for several years. She was a former member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Windsor and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Sedalia.

Survivors include a son, Jim Farris, of Sedalia; three daughters, Mary Kathryn Zakavich, of Independence, and Elizabeth Ann Kirk and Patricia Margaret Trottier, both of Kansas City; a stepson, James Harvey, of Warren, Ohio; a step-daughter, Marguarete Harvey, of Columbia; a brother, William Hendricks, of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Hendricks, and two sisters, Maryetta Jones and Matilda Montgomery.

A Christian burial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Clinton, with the Rev. Tom Hermes officiating. Burial will be in the Englewood Cemetery in Clinton. Friends may call at the Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor after 4 p.m. Monday.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
